Eshaan Akbar

Eshaan Akbar is a British stand-up comedian, actor, writer, broadcaster and podcaster. His sharp, engaging comedy draws on identity, faith, family, politics and contemporary British life, combining thoughtful observations with an energetic and playful stage presence.

His television credits include Live at the Apollo, QI, Mock the Week, The Last Leg, Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, Celebrity MasterChef and The Apprentice: You’re Fired. He also appeared as Principal Lakhani in the fourth series of Netflix’s Sex Education and took part in BBC Two’s Pilgrimage: The Road Through North Wales.

Eshaan has voiced Rishi Sunak, Sajid Javid and Narendra Modi for Spitting Image. His broadcasting and podcast work includes BBC Asian Network, But Where Are You Really From?, Audible’s Panic Room and the award-winning business podcast Nine Twenty Nine.
