Adam Bloom

Adam Bloom is an award-winning British stand-up comedian, writer and author who has been a fixture of the UK comedy circuit since the early 1990s. Renowned for tightly constructed jokes, inventive observations and an intensely engaging performance style, he has earned a reputation as a true comedian’s comedian and has performed acclaimed solo shows at festivals around the world.

Adam made his Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut in 1996 and has returned numerous times with solo shows including And God Created Adam, Entertaining the Thought and Look at Me, Anybody!. His international career has taken him to festivals including Montreal’s Just for Laughs and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, while in 1998 he won the Time Out Comedy Award for Best Stand-Up.

His television credits include Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Russell Howard’s Good News and The Stand Up Show. Adam also created and starred in three series of the BBC Radio 4 comedy programme The Problem with Adam Bloom.

In 2023, Adam published Finding Your Comic Genius: An In-Depth Guide to the Art of Stand-Up Comedy, drawing on decades of experience as both a performer and a writer who has contributed material for more than 50 fellow comedians. The book led to a series of comedy-writing masterclasses and has further established Adam as a highly respected authority on the craft of stand-up.
